Today, my family and I randomly decided to visit my grandmother’s parents’ graves. Once we got there, my grandmother said, “Oh up here I remember there was a young girl who died in a car accident. We saw her name in the newspaper when my father died. Here she is: Diane Young.”
This week my friend and I have been obsessed with “Diane Young” by Vampire Weekend, so you could imagine my surprise when my grandmother showed me this young woman’s grave.
The song is a metaphor for someone that dies young, and the video shows clips of different cars on fire. This girl, Diane Young, died at age 21 after a fatal car crash.
This is some legitimate Supernatural stuff.
remember when this happened to me because i do
ANYTIME ANYONE MAKES A GRATEFUL DEAD REFERENCE. EVER.
